EAR FOOD: The series where I tell you what albums you should have pumped

OH YEAH!! Theres a reason why I call it ear food people. Only albums that left me "satisfied and smiling will make it in this series. I'm getting more or less tired of people looking at my ipod/laptop and going "OMG u have 34 GIGS OF MUUUUUSSSSIIIC, HOOOWWWW?!?!?".

So in a way im just giving away my whole collection album by album.

FIRST UP...and justly so...Vampire Weekend: "Contra" and "Vampire Weekend"(Self-Titled)

Drake's video for Over is damn near perfect...

So as plenty of you already know, Drake's long awaited album "Thank Me Later" keeps getting pushed back. But last week sometime (i think) the video for his first single "Over" dropped....and it is as hot as ever...I'm a quit dick ridin' now. But this is why I think the video works so well.

In the chorus of the song, Drake shows two emotions that seem to be symptoms of the classic celebrity condition: confusion and arrogance. He talks a lot about being lonely, working extra hard, and its ultimately resulting in his experiences with insomnia. The sped up, vivid images on the walls of catastrophic events as well as the millions of people without faces, show that his life's startin to blur. The rest of the song is basically showing how he thinks he needs nobody else to accomplish his goals.

All in all I think video was perfect for what the song meant which is:

1) Shits happening really fast for him

2) He's suffering from insomnia and maybe developing a complex foreals...(nighas hella cocky for a dude that looks like a wombat)

3) Despite it all he's trucking thru it to catch his dream...(Like a G)

John Mayer being awesome?....again?

In case anyone has forgotten, john mayer is still the bee's knees. Here's a vid of the whole JM fam doing tour stuff...sure makes me wanna just abandon all education and grab my guitar. How about you?

IF YOU HAVEN'T HEARD: Spartacus is the ISH

Starz' new action-drama "Spartacus" has been blowing up. With it's season finale less than a week away, "Spartacus" has become one of the most watched television series since its debut in January of 2010.

Why do I give it props?

For starters, the show is a new breed. Yes its about gladiators, but its like a mash of the movie "Gladiator" with the artsy feel of "300". And well besides the show being a mix of gritty, gladiator times, and despite the guaranteed set of tits that you WILL (not maybe, will) see every episode, "Spartacus" is one of the few dramas on tv with pretty sweet plot. I, of course, dont watch television, thats why we have the internet. But for what its worth, if you find yourself chillin next to the remote, I URGE YOU to find this show. It will indubitably change your life.

CHICK OF THE WEEK: Rosario Dawson

I dont know what it is, I dont know what she's made of, and I dont know why she's not my wife yet, but this woman drools sexy. I want to see more of her, dunno about you.

In Austrailia of all places. German daddy, jamaican mommy. Its just sad that nobody will believe them once they get older :/ Also sucks that their parents were most liiikely expecting some caramel looking mixed kids n got stuck with kids that look like them. BLOWER!
